Our Forensic Peer Support Services, or Reentry Services, have been developed to ensure smoother transitions for individuals reintegrating into society after a period of incarceration.
Our Substance Abuse Services are devoted to helping individuals on their path to recovery, providing custom-made assistance designed around your unique requirements.
We establish a supportive framework for individuals dealing with post-incarceration challenges. Our program sparks positive change and smoother reintegration by offering access to essential resources and assistance.
Our inception stems from the belief that every individual deserves a second chance. By tackling the core issues facing individuals post-incarceration, we empower them with tools for a new beginning and societal cohesion.
Our help is flexible and continuous, available throughout every phase of the reentry process. We stand by those currently incarcerated and those who have recently reentered society and are on the path of reinvention.
Our team at Resources for Humanity prioritizes understanding and empathy in every interaction. We’ve assembled a team that works diligently to create personalized reentry plans, ensuring every individual receives the resources and assistance essential to their reintegration.
Our individual-centric approach provides tailored support to address specific challenges, promoting resilience and social integration post-incarceration.
We are committed to providing the right help when it’s needed the most. Our continuous support throughout reintegration helps foster sustainable rehabilitation and societal cohesion.
Backed by a comprehensive network, we seamlessly connect individuals to essential resources, fostering a smoother transition into everyday life post-incarceration.
We help individuals develop crucial life skills needed for reincorporation into society, including job-seeking skills, stress management, and practical communication skills.

James Smith, our founder, began his journey in Robeson County. Born and raised in an area afflicted by poverty and hardship, he turned to drugs and criminal activity as an escape from the harsh realities of life. His troubled behavior led to him being incarcerated multiple times, the first time at the young age of 12. But from these challenging experiences emerged the inspiration to create an organization committed to helping others navigate their way out of similar hostile environments. Thus, Resources for Humanity was born.
